Trance Mag reviews Christopher Lawrence vs. No Comment – Horizon

I will not lie, I am definitely a late bloomer when it comes to Christopher Lawrence’s music. Sure, the Los Angeles native has been around the block for a while now, and I know he has a large laundry list of accomplishments (probably longer than my actual list of laundry I need to do). That said, for some odd reason, I never really latched onto his music until recently.
Being a big fan of the more underground sound, one would think I would have been listening to him for eons by now.

While trying to broaden my horizons in the Trance genre, I at last took the dive into Christopher Lawrence’s music, and frankly, it was worth the wait. I say this for two reasons. Reason one is that now  there is a  huge back log of great material to listen to from him. The second reason? I get to review his newest stuff, particularly his latest release: Horizon.

Horizon is the result of a three way collaboration from Christopher Lawrence and No Comment (a new alias for Israeli duo Orpheus and Omer ‘Rizo’ Kadosh). Listeners will be treated to a spectrum of treats within this track. A groovy psychedelic bassline, a tech-like riff that will get your blood moving, well chosen percussion for excellent rhythm, a haunting breakdown that will send goosebumps through listeners, and of course, a very fresh lead melody.

Trance fans of all spectrums should definitely do themselves a favor, and grab a legal copy of Horizon. With all that it offers, it would be a crime to miss out on this beauty. Christopher Lawrence and No Comment have crafted a truly stunning track to top off a an already exciting year of quality releases. If the results of this track are any indicator, the horizon is looking very bright for next year.
